![]() Think of Sonar as a container-DAW which can hold multi-musical instruments of various qualities. ![]() ![]() The Sonar Lite versions do not help me much with EQ sweeping, expansion of lower transient levels, transparent limiting, harmonic excitations, upward compression, etc. in order to master at an intermediate level. You really need higher mixing and CD protocols (AKA mastering protocols /persons) to brighten, clean and polish, add crackle and crunch, etc.īut you also need a good recording environment, good signal chains for recording, great monitors, faithful-talents/players (I did not say virtuosos), vox compressors, etc. are *seemingly* lite versions which don't allow fine-tuning of crucial transients, authentic sounds, ambiance, etc. Sonar's Boost 11 will do in a pinch: To me, Sonar EQs, compressors, stereo-wideners, limiters, reverb, loudness-maximers, harmonizers, etc.
